Dear Campbell Parents,
A Campbell Elementary student was reported for being in possession of a knife. The student was immediately separated from the student population and the knife was recovered without incident. The superintendent and local law enforcement were notified. The student who brought the knife to school has been suspended from school and further disciplinary action may be imposed per school district policy.
As you deem appropriate, please discuss this incident with your child(ren) and emphasize that it is very serious to bring weapons of any type to school. Also, please emphasize the importance of telling an adult if there is a weapon at school. In this way, we can continue to work together to keep our schools safe.
In closing, let me say again that we take all matters regarding the safety of our students and staff very serious, and we will always take the most direct approach to maintaining a safe and secure school.
Best Regards,
Brenda Kloberdanz
Campbell Principal
